Tasman hooker Quentin MacDonald has received an off-field yellow card, following a judicial hearing.
Tasman hooker Quentin MacDonald has received an off-field yellow card, following a judicial hearing held by video conference Friday.
MacDonald was cited under law 10.4 (e- ) for a dangerous tackle on Northland flyhalf Dan Hawkins - in their Week Seven NPC match, won 28-13 by Tasman in Whangarei on Thursday.
After hearing submissions, judicial officer Roger Drummond said he considered the offence was at the lower end.
Taking into account MacDonald's clean judicial record, he deemed an off-field yellow card appropriate for the offence.
MacDonald is free to be selected for Tasman's Week Eight match against Waikato on Wednesday.
