On Day 1 of the Under-15 Week at Bill Jardine Stadium in Johannesburg on Monday, in just seven matches 257 points and 40 tries were scored.

That means nearly six tries per match.

The big winners were Boland, Free State and the Pumas.

On Day 2 - tomorrow - Western Province, who scored four tries to two against Kwa-Zulu Natal, will play the Blue Bulls who bat the Leopards after the teams were locked at 7-7 at half-time.

The closest match was between Border and Griquas. Border led by two points at half-time, but Griquas were ahead by two points when the final whistle sounded.
