Italy bring in new blood for tour
SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT: Italy coach Conor O'Shea left out captain Sergio Parisse along with several stalwarts and named four new players in his 31-man squad for a tour of Asia and Oceania in June.
The Irishman called up prop Tiziano Pasquali, hooker Luca Bigi and flank Dean Budd, who all play for Benetton, along with Calvisano hooker Luhandre Luus.
The Italian federation had already indicated that several experienced players would be rested including flank Parisse, Leonardo Ghiraldini, Simone Favaro and Lorenzo Cittadini.
Italy play Six Nations rivals Scotland on June 10 in Singapore, followed by Fiji on June 17 in Suva, wrapping up their tour against heavyweights Australia on June 24 in Brisbane.
