Young Bull arrested for 'sexual assault'

The Bulls, in a terse statement, confirmed that one of their junior players – loose forward Khwezi Mafu – has been arrested on allegations of sexual assault.

Mafu, 19, who captained the Blue Bulls Under-19 team last year, is a former South African schools representative.

"The Blue Bulls Company (Pty) Ltd acknowledges that young loose forward Khwezi Mafu was arrested on allegations of sexual assault," the statement said.

"We are not in a position to make any comments at this time, and will release a further statement once the legal system has run its course.

"We refer all queries to Mafu’s legal representative, Phillip Masiza of Phillip Masiza Inc."
