Going down 0-21 inside the opening 12 minutes, the match was effectively over as a contest.

Credit must go to the Pumas that they kept on fighting and actually score two tries, but they just never had enough energy after last week's great effort against New Zealand – lacking the intensity to seriously challenge the Wallabies.

Jan de Koning rates the Argentinean players!

15 Joaquin Tuculet:

Was Argentina's most potent attacking weapon and his running metres went into triple figures.

7/10

14 Santiago Cordero:

Had a couple of decent runs, but turnovers and missed tackles spoilt his day.

6/10

13 Matias Moroni:

Had his moments and cause a few flutters with ball in hand, but the rest if his game was not up to par.

6/10

12 Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias:

Had plenty of chances with ball in hand, but failed to make the necessary impact. At least he made all his tackles.

5/10

11 Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino:

Had a game he would rather forget. Apart from not making any impact with ball in hand, he missed as many tackles as he made.

4/10

10 Nicolas Sanchez:

Looked assured and tried to get his team going, but did not get enough front-foot ball. His tactical appreciation saved his team on a few occasions.

7/10

9 Tomas Cubelli:PLAYER RATINGS: No more gas

Did the basics well, but was a disaster on defence – slipping twice as many tackles as he made.

4/10

8 Facundo Isa:

By some distance Argentina's most productive player. Not flawless, but a workhorse who was involved in much that was positive about the team's performance.

8/10

Tried hard, with some good carries and a number of big hits.

6/10

6 Pablo Matera:

Some great work at the breakdown, including a couple of crucial turnovers.

7/10

5 Matias Alemanno:

Mostly anonymous and one of his worst games of the year.

4/10

4 Javier Ortega Desio:

One of the more productive forwards – with plenty of carries and making all his tackles.

6/10

3 Ramiro Herrera:

Repeatedly penalised at the scrums and contributed very little in open play.

3/10

2 Agustin Creevy (captain):

Drifted in and out of the game, but when he did have bursts of energy his was effective.

6/10

1 Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro:

Another forward that was anonymous, with a very poor workrate.

4/10

His basic skills let him down and his workrate was poor.

4/10

Another replacement that made no impact as a result of a very poor workrate.
