Kings unscathed after WP clash

EP Kings head coach, Barend Pieterse, said while the players had sustained a number of bumps and bruises, and were a bit stiff after the weekends match, none had sustained any injuries that would rule them out of contention for selection.

This is positive news for the Kings who are playing three games over seven days to make up for the missed fixture at the start of the Currie Cup Premier Division.

They have already played the first match against Western Province on Saturday, with the next match against the Griquas in Kimberley on Wednesday, before playing the Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

Pieterse said some other positive news from the medical team was that David Antonites, who had also sustained a hand injury during the game against the Blue Bulls, was likely to be available in the next two to three weeks.
