Sharks get Am back for WP clash

Thu, 12 Oct 2017 08:42

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Sharks head coach Robert du Preez has gone with continuity in selection for his team's final Currie Cup league clash against Western Province in Durban on Saturday.

Lukhanyo Am returns from injury to take his place at centre, with Tristan Blewett shifting to the bench in the only change to the team that defeated the Lions two weeks ago.

On the bench, Mahlatse Ralepelle and Jean-Luc du Preez return from Springbok commitments.

Scrumhalf Louis Schreuder is back after missing the Lions match, due to family reasons and has also been included on the bench.

Wing Jacobus van Wyk is over the injury that sidelined him and he has been given the No.22 jersey for Saturday's clash against his former team.

Saturday's match will be wing Odwa Ndungane's 249th in the Sharks jersey and he will retire from the game at the end of this year's Currie Cup campaign.

The Sharks have already secured top spot in the standings this year and will host one of the two semifinals next weekend.
