George hat-trick takes Saracens to the top
PREMIERSHIP REPORT: England hooker Jamie George scored three tries to inspire Saracens to a 38-19 win over Wasps.
The victory took them back to the top of the Premiership on Sunday.
Owen Farrell was forced to withdraw shortly before kick-off due to a calf injury, but George's treble kept Saracens ticking over at Allianz Park.
Alex Lozowski, deputising for the injured Farrell at flyhalf, was also in good form and his 18 points helped the European champions cruise to victory.
Chris Wyles bagged Saracens' other try as Mark McCall's team nabbed the bonus point and moved above previous leaders Exeter.
Even allowing for injuries that robbed them of Danny Cipriani, Jimmy Gopperth and Nathan Hughes, it was a poor performance from Wasps.
Last season's Premiership runners-up slumped to a fourth successive defeat for the first time since 2014 and remain 10th in the table.
