Sarries ready for 'special' semis

Saracens booked their semifinal spot with an impressive 62-12 win over Gloucester at Allianz Park two weeks ago.

Wasps made their way in the semi-final courtesy of a 39-22 win over Newcastle Falcons in a thrilling contest at Kingston Park.

The last time these two sides met in a semi-final was in the European Champions Cup in 2017 where Sarries walked away victors.

Adding to the momentous occasion is the fact that loose forward Jackson Wray could make his 200th appearance in the Sarries jersey.

If selected, the Fans’ and Players’ Player of the Season will make his 200th Sarries appearance, 10 years after making his debut for the club.

Describing himself as ‘90kg wet through’ on his debut against Scarlets, 27-year-old Wray has come a long way in a decade and is excited to reach the milestone.

"It doesn’t feel that long ago it was my 100th," he told Saracens.com.

"Earlier on in the season I didn’t think it was going to happen this year but I’m really pleased.

"There’s a great crop of players who have done it in recent years. I’ll be very proud going out there having played 200 games for this club and going out with my two little ones.

"It will be a bit of an emotional one. When the boys go out with their kids and stuff it’s a nice thing. To do it in front of the home crowd is great and to be honest, I feel lucky in that sense to swing a home game!

"It’s going to be special. I’m looking forward to putting on a performance as well. It’s a massive game for the club and the boys,"
