Ospreys star set for lengthy lay-off
INJURY UPDATE: Ospreys wing Keelan Giles could be sidelined for a lengthy period due to a knee injury.
The wing sustained the injury during last Friday's 28-14 win over the Dragons and will undergo reconstructive surgery.
The 19-year-old was stretchered off after an hour of the PRO14 derby clash at the Liberty Stadium and Chris Towers, Medical Performance Manager at the Ospreys, provided the following update:
"Keelan has sustained a significant knee ligament injury and will require reconstructive surgery.
"We are currently in the process of seeking expert opinion to formulate the best course of management going forward and will provide appropriate updates when necessary,"
Giles has been vastly tipped for a Wales senior cap, but injuries just extinguish his chances.
He also missed out on the senior Six nations for 2017 through injury.
