Pietsch inluded in Aussie Sevens squad

Boyd Killingworth failed the concussion return to play protocols and is replaced by Dylan Pietsch, who played with the Classic Wallabies at the Hong Kong Tens.

Hong Kong was Australia's best finish on the Sevens World Series this year, having finished fourth at the Sydney Sevens and fifth in Dubai late last year.

With three rounds remaining on the Sevens World Series, Australia (79 points) are in hot pursuit of a top four finish, with the side currently in sixth position behind the USA (82 points) and New Zealand (97 points).

Australian Sevens head coach Andy Friend said: "This group has continued to improve and last week marked a real turning point for the side, showing that they can beat top four teams when they back themselves.

"The challenge now is to not rest on our laurels and lift our performance this week in Singapore.

"Australia has not won a tournament since Tokyo 2012 and it is a goal this team strives to achieve every time we run out to play."
