Fine-tuning for Sharks ahead of tour

The Durban-based side beat a Bulls XV 53-7 in their final pre-season hit-out last Friday and there were still some aspects of their game that did not please Du Preez.

"This was good match practice for the squad and I was pleased with the attacking mindset shown," said Du Preez.

"There were a lot of handling errors due to the humidity on the day, but that is exactly what we will face in Brisbane.

"It's our last week at home before the competition starts and this week is going to be another tough week of training with emphasis placed on ball retention."

There was one injury in the match on Friday with prop John-Hubert Meyer limping off with a right ankle injury.

The Sharks depart for Australia on Saturday for their two-match tour to Brisbane (Reds) and Canberra (Brumbies).
