Bryan Williams and Jim Telfer are the only coaches to take a team to three consecutive World Cups.

It was Samoa first participation at the World Cup.

Samoa qualified through regional qualifiers.

Bryan Williams coached the side-with Peter Fatialofa being captain.

Samoa lost 28-6 to the Springboks in the quarterfinals.

The biggest shock in the pool stages was, when Samoa won Wales 16-13.

Samoa scored eight tries in the tournament.

Samoa collected 60 points and conceded 60 points in the competition.

Their biggest winning margin was 23 points when they toppled Argentina 35-12.

1995

It was Samoa second participation at the World Cup.

They received automatic qualification, due to them being in the quarterfinals.

Samoa lost 42-14 to the Springboks in the quarterfinals.

Samoa conceded (130) more points than they collected (112).

Their biggest winning margin was 24 points when they crushed Italy 42-18.

Samoa scored 15 tries in the tournament.

It was Samoa third participation at the World Cup.

They received automatic qualification, due to them being in the quarterfinals.

Samoa lost 35-20 to Scotland in the quarterfinal play-offs.

Silao Leaegailesolo contributed 62 of Samoa’s 117 points.

Samoa collected 117 points- with only 104 conceded in the competition.

Their biggest winning margin was 34 points when they toppled Japan 43-9.

2003

Samoa had participation in their fourth World Cup.

Samoa qualified through regional qualifiers.

John Boe coached the side-with Semo Sititi  being captain.

Samoa never made it out of the pool stages and came third in their pool.

The Samoans scored 18 tries in the tournament.

Samoa collected 138 points- with only 117 conceded in the competition.

Their biggest winning margin was 47 points when they defeated Uruguay 60-13.

2007

Samoa had participation in their fifth World Cup.

Samoa qualified through regional qualifiers.

Michael Jones coached the side-with Semo Sititi being captain.

Samoa never made it out of the pool stages and came fourth in their pool.

Samoa conceded (143) more points than they collected (69).

There only win came against the United States- with a 25-21 victory.

Only four tries were scored.

2011

Samoa had participation in sixth fifth World Cup.

Samoa qualified through regional qualifiers.

Titimaea Tafua coached the side-with Mahonri Schwalger being captain.

Samoa never made it out of the pool stages and came third in their pool.

Samoa collected 91 points- with only 49 conceded in the competition.

There biggest winning margin was 37 points when they toppled Namibia 49-12.

Tusi Pisi contributed 25 out of there 91 points.
