(Capacity: 54,000)

It is the third largest Stadium in England enjoyed a spectacular opening when Queen Elizabeth II parachuted in from a helicopter. She was the centrepiece of the Olympic Park in London’s East End.

The Stadium hosted the athletics and the Olympic and Paralympic ceremonies while the cost of the Stadium was about £500m. The Stadium has lighting pads on every seat which allows complex light shows to be displayed around the ground.

The permanent future of this iconic stadium is still unclear- with rugby, football and cricket teams expressing their interest in the ground. The Stadium is 10.5km away from Central London but six minutes away from London St. Pancras station.

Live Nation (music concert promoter), won the right to stage shows at the Stadium and Surrounding Park in January 2013. The Wireless Festival, Hard Rock Calling and Electric Daisy Carnival were held in July but only in the Park.

The ground will host five 2015 Rugby World Cup matches
