Utility back Curwin Bosch said the team is working “hard behind the scenes” to end their winless streak in the United Rugby Championship.

Despite results not having gone the Sharks’ way – a 17-42 loss to Munster in Round One and the 24-35 loss to Glasgow Warriors this past weekend – Bosch said the players have remained positive.

The utility back spoke of “improvement” in their game, adding that if they continue to work hard the results will come soon.

“The biggest lesson for us is to just be more clinical,” Bosch told @rugby365com, adding: “The European teams are great at using their opportunities.

“Sometimes we have a mentality that we will get another opportunity.

“When you get an opportunity you need to convert that into points.

“We need to be more clinical in terms of the smaller details of our game.”

Assistant coach Phiwe Nomlomo said the team needs to learn those lessons fast.

“In this [European] environments, if you make a mistake you get punished,” Nomlomo told @rugby365com.

Looking ahead to the Round Three encounter with the Ospreys this coming Friday, he said they can expect a typical Welsh performance.

“They rely massively on their kicking game,” he said of the Swansea-based outfit, adding: “They are defence-orientated.

“They try and stifle you, box you in, in your own 22-metre area.”

The other big challenge is to change from the Scottish opposition to Welsh rivals, making the required adjustments while trying to improve your own game.

“We are looking forward to the challenge and we will get better with time.

“That learning now has to breed results.”
