Aussie juniors learn from Gregan

Australia intensified its preparation for the IRB Junior World Championships with a training session with George Gregan at Bond University on Thursday.

Australia's next generation of Wallabies, Super Rugby and Sevens stars got the unique opportunity to hear from the former Wallabies captain, who shared his past experiences with the group as well as taking them through a number of skills and drills.

Australia Under-20 head coach Adrian Thompson was very pleased with the way his squad responded to this unique opportunity.

"For George to spend some time with the squad this morning was fantastic.

"You could see the immediate impact it had on each individual and I know this will only assist the great work this squad is doing at the moment with their preparations.

"George is not only a great player but is now a fine coach and we appreciate him taking the time to join us at Bond University," Thompson said.

The squad will continue training at Bond University on the Gold Coast with two upcoming matches scheduled against the Samoa U20 side as the race to make the final squad continues before the JWC in New Zealand in June.
