Blue Bulls to tackle Saracens

English Premiership runners-up Saracens will play the Blue Bulls Currie Cup team at Allianz Park early next year – Saturday, January 31.

The Bulls will field a full-strength side against the team that topped the English Premiership league standings, but was then beaten in the Final by Northampton Saints in extra time of the Final.

"The Blue Bulls are always formidable opposition, and we look forward to another  fantastic occasion at Allianz Park," Saracens' Director of Rugby Mark McCall said.

"Our players greatly enjoyed the match against the Sharks last January, as these matches against top southern hemisphere opposition become part of our annual calendar."

Bulls Frans Ludeke said Saracens are closely followed and well supported throughout South Africa.

"They have been performing really well in the Premiership and the European Cup, and might easily have won both competitions last month," Ludeke said of Sarries' back-to back losses in major finals.

"We look forward to a great game on the artificial turf at Allianz Park."
