Four games, 454-0

It reads like a cricket scorecard but is actually the incredible combined loss suffered by the Penrith Emus, a club side in Sydney club.

In what is being described as one of the worst-ever days for a sporting club, Penrith's band of battlers were demolished 454-0 by Eastwood across four teams, The Daily Telegraph reports.

The Emus' first XV Shute Shield side were demolished 129-0, second XV 125-0, third XV 136-0, and fourths 64-0.

Penrith's 43-year-old head coach Teki Tuipulotu was forced to pull on the boots and play in one of the games to make up the numbers.

"We haven't had any support for 20 years, this has been brewing for a long time," Tuipulotu said.

"I took over as head coach in 2013, and at the start of that year we had [Wallabies coach] Michael Cheika, [NSWRU chairman] Nick Farr-Jones, Bruce Worboys all come out and promise their support, but since then, nothing."

Penrith have lost all 14 games in the Shute Shield this season, conceding 947 points.
