The Scots have been brought crashing down after winning three games on tour by a powerful, young Springbok team.

The Scots could only get two penalties onto the board as the Boks ran eight tries past the hapless tourists.

Although the scoreboard says it was an absolute hammering, the Scots were pretty brave in their defence and their tackling

Tackling became the bread and butter of the Scots' gameplan, but the forwards did contribute with some solid carrying when the ball became a bit loose.

The Scots will go back to the drawing board with an eye on the World Cup where they will face the Boks again.

Darryn Pollock rates the Thistles:

15 Stuart Hogg:

Tried to inject some pace and urgency and even became a bit of a playmaker later on in the game.

6/10

Very little to do when the Boks had the ball but got in a few runs as the ball got spread out wide.

Had Serfontein running at him all day and slipped a few tackles but really tried hard to get his backs going.
