The South African Barbarians team has been forced to make a change to their line up for the match against England in Kimberley on Wednesday.

Replacement lock Ben Venter is injured and was replaced in the squad on Monday by Border teammate Samora Fihlani.

Three players with Springbok Sevens experience were named in the SA Barbarians teams to take on England in two mid week matches – the first against the Southern BaaBaas in Kimberley on Wednesday and the second encounter against a Northern selection in Potchefstroom next Tuesday (June 19).

Current Bok Sevens star, Cornal Hendricks, as well as veterans Danwel Demas and Mpho Mbiyozo, have been named by the SA Barbarians selectors in strong combinations to meet the tourists, chosen from the First Division teams.

EP Kings’ centre Wayne Stevens will captain a SA Barbarians (South) combination to meet England in Kimberley.

Experienced Currie Cup coach, Jimmy Stonehouse of the Mpumalanga Pumas will coach the BaaBaas in both matches.

Stonehouse will be assisted by Eddie Myners (South Western Districts) and Oersond Gorgonzola (Griffons).
