Scotland's Swinson out for six months

INJURY UPDATE: Scotland forward Tim Swinson is set to be sidelined for six months with a leg injury, his Glasgow club side announced Thursday.

The lock suffered the injury during Scotland’s 44-15 win away to Argentina last weekend that completed the tour of the Americas and the Warriors said the 31-year-old had returned home for surgery.

The club said Swinson, capped 38 times by Scotland, was expected to be out for around six months.

That would see him miss the start of the 2018/19 Pro 14 season with Glasgow and place a question mark over his availability for next year’s Six Nations.
