Bok centre extends stay at French club
NEWS: Springbok centre Jan Serfontein has extended his stay with French club Montpellier.
The club revealed that the 28-year-old has signed a contract extension until 2024.
Serfontein, who has 35 Springbok caps to his name, joined the club from the Bulls in 2017.
He played his last Test against the All Blacks in Cape Town in that same year.
“Jan is an important player in our system,” said Montpellier coach Philippe Saint-André.
“He is a leader in our team, and he was even captain this season against Perpignan.
“I am delighted that he is continuing the adventure with us. He is 200 percent in the club project.”
Serfontein added: “I am very happy to continue my career with the club until 2024.
“I want to continue to be part of this adventure.
“I feel very good here with this group. We will focus on the matches to come and give everything to give our supporters a good end to the season.”
