Lions have a 'new' coach

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: The Lions will be under new management during their preparation matches.

The Lions, who kick off their preparations fixtures against the Pumas on Friday, will be coached by Coach Mziwakhe Nkosi.

Nkosi steered the Lions Under 21 side to the final of the national tournament in 2020 and has been an integral part of the Lions’ junior rugby structures for quite some time.

The former SA Schools coach will be assisted by Wessel Roux.

While Ivan van Rooyen will oversee proceedings as Head Coach of the Lions Rugby Company.

In terms of team news, lock Reinhard Nothnagel will captain the young Lions side.
