The Lions made five changes to the starting XV following their defeat to the Western Province in the opening round of the tournament.

In the backline Springboks Andries Coetzee takes over the No.15. Coetzee replaces Tiaan Swanepoel, who moves to the bench.

Rynhardt Jonker joins Tyler Bocks as the new centre combination.

Ruben Schoeman comes into the starting XV and partners Darrien Landsberg at lock.

It is a very significant outing for Landsberg, who is set to face his former side the Pumas.

The lock played in last year’s final for the Pumas and won the trophy.
