“It is obviously a privilege to lead the Currie Cup side for a franchise like ours,” expressed Nkosi.

“From a personal development point, I am hoping that it is another experience that I can learn from at this level in concert with my passionate management team. I have no doubt we can create something special with the young talent coming through at the Lions,” he added.

Nkosi believes this year’s campaign will once again provide the opportunity for a few new names to be unleashed onto the Currie Cup circuit which runs until June this year.

Added to that, Nkosi feels that the grooming of youngsters further establishes the Lions as one of the best franchises to play rugby.
