Not only did the Boks share a charter plane with Argentina from South Africa to Australia, but in Queensland, they are in ‘lockdown’ with Los Pumas in the same hotel.

Nienaber explains how they had to adjust their schedule around mealtimes, using the gymnasium and even the training field.

The Boks and Pumas – who played in back-to-back Tests inPort Elizabeth – resume their Rugby Championship campaigns next week, after their 14-day quarantine.

The Boks face hosts Australia and Los Pumas tackle New Zealand, on Sunday, September 12 – with the same routine repeated a week later.

It is then swapped around – the Boks facing the All Blacks on back-to-back weekends, while the Wallabies and Pumas clash on consecutive weekends.
