Van Graan to leave Munster for English club?

NEWS: Munster head coach Johann van Graan could be heading to England.

According to the Irish Independent, the South African coach has been linked with a move to Bath.

Losing Van Graan would be a blow for the Irish province as senior coach Stephen Larkham has already confirmed he will be leaving at the end of the current season to coach the Brumbies in Super Rugby.

It is believed Van Graan was close to extending his contract with Munster until 2024, but that now looks unlikely.

Bath are currently struggling in the Premiership with nine defeats from nine matches so far, which sees them currently rooted to the bottom of the standings.

That record has placed a lot of pressure on Bath’s Director of Rugby Stuart Hooper.

Van Graan was an assistant coach with the Springboks between 2012 and 2017 before he took over from Rassie Erasmus at Munster.
