Schools Rugby Festival at Newlands

Gimmies and Paul Roos in main match

The fourth annual Western Province Schools Rugby Festival takes place at Newlands on Tuesday afternoon and evening, 28 March 2006. In the main match Paarl Gim play Paul Roos.

There will be five Under-19 matches, one Under-13 match and four mini-rugby matches.
 
The matches for the day were done by draw.

At the end of last season Paarl Gim ended second on the FNB Top 20, Paul Roos seventh. It promises to be a great clash.

Gimmies have played already, drawing 3-all with Strand at the Brackenfell Rugby Festival.

Strand play SACS at Newlands, and Bishops, who ended 18th on the FNB Top 20, play HTS Bellville. It will be a first match for Bishops while HTS Bellville lost to Vredenburg at the Brackenfell festival.

In the primary schools match, Eversdal play Somerset West Primary.

There will be four mini-rugby matches: Schotsche Kloof vs Hlengisa Primary, Fish Hoek Primary vs Durbanville Prep, Chuma Primary vs Simon van der Stel, and Groote Schuur Primary vs Dr GJ Joubert.
