Paul Roos beat SACS in Stellenbosch

Match report

Paul Roos and SACS met in a match which is about 130 years old, and Paul Roos won 32-18 on the Markötter Field in Stellenbosch.

The following report is from SACS:

SACS gave their much-vaunted hosts, Paul Roos, a real run for their money at Stellenbosch on Saturday. Gone was the lack of aggression evident against Paarl Boys' High last weekend. The team was competitive throughout and the final score flattered the hosts.

Trailing 12-8 at the interval the SACS side played with great passion and made Paul Roos work for most of their points. The SACS loose forwards were magnificent, and Kevin Dolley, especially, produced a sparkling performance. Moreover, SACS scrummed well and the pack played well as a unit!
