England and Wales chose U/19 teams

Match in Twickenham

England Under-19 and Wales Under-19 meet at the Twickenham Stoop on Friday, 3 February. The kick-off is at 19.45.

Both countries have chosen squads as they prepare for the IRB's World Championship in Dubai in April.

Nigel Redman, the England coach said of his squad: "This is the first step in the next stage of these players’ development.  Selection takes account of educational commitments.  Some players are unavailable for the match because of this and others are selected who will be unavailable for later fixtures.  We are always supportive of our young players’ education and want to offer a balance so that they can achieve both their rugby and academic potential.

“This is a great opportunity for the players who are available during the Under-19 Six Nations and we will be looking at them during the tournament with the IRB U19 Six Nations World Championship in mind.”
