Faf takes centre stage as Premiership returns
The return of the Premiership will see Twickenham have a special artwork on the field as World Cup winner Francois de Klerk is one of three players to have their faces painted on the field.
De Klerk, who plays for Sale Sharks, is joined by Harlequins’ Joe Marler and Maro Itoje of Saracens.
“I feel ecstatic and I feel euphoric that my face is being immortalised in the Twickenham pitch. Even though, when they say it’s being immortalised that’s not really true because it’ll just go when they mow it,” Marler said.
This certainly tops the list for creativity but we’re not sure if these players will appreciate their faces being trampled on. Although, we are sure there some opponents who are looking forward to doing just that.
