The experienced South African World Cup winner, who arrived at Sixways in 2015, has become a key part of Warriors' midfield in recent seasons, having played 45 times and scoring 13 tries.

Olivier started 18 of 22 games in his first season at the Club before scoring ten tries in 23 appearances during the 2016/17 campaign – a season where he featured in all but one of Warriors' Premiership games.

Olivier has 38 international caps to his name and also made three appearances at the 2007 Rugby World Cup in which the Springboks went on to win the trophy.

The 34-year-old counts French side Montpellier and Super Rugby side the Bulls as former clubs, the latter with whom he tasted both Super Rugby and Currie Cup success.

Olivier said: "Worcester has become a home for me over the past three years and I'm really pleased to be staying.

"I've made some great friends at the Club, there's a really good vibe about the place right now and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Warriors."

Warriors Director of Rugby Alan Solomons added: "Wynand is a consummate professional and having someone of his experience in the squad is vital.

"He has done a tremendous job in his three seasons at Sixways so far and is a fantastic role model for some of our upcoming youngsters."
