Cheetahs get a Bok boost ahead of Euro trip

The side will leave for a three-week tour to Wales and Scotland where they will play Cardiff Blues on February 10, log leaders Glasgow Warriors on February 16 and Ospreys a week later.

With the gruelling schedule, the return of Venter could not have come at a better time for head coach Rory Duncan.

Venter, who missed the back-to-back wins over Southern Kings, took a blow to the neck during his side's 21-27 loss to Benetton early January has been cleared for the trip.

Aside from Venter, Torsten van Jaarsveld, Tier Schoeman, Malcolm Jaer and Luther Obi have also made full recoveries from their respective injuries and will be going on the tour.  

Utility back Craig Barry has also been named in the squad after extending his loan agreement with the side.
