Canterbury star heading to Munster

Peter Borlase, who on Friday helped Canterbury win their third successive NPC title, will join up with Irish giants Munster next week.

He signed off in the best possible fashion when he helped the Cantabs to a 33-13 win over Waikato in the NPC Final in Christchurch on Friday.

Borlase, who was the first choice tighthead prop throughout Canterbury’s campaign – which saw them reclaim the Ranfurly Shield from Southland and win their third provincial title, will arrive in Munster next Thursday.

He is likely to be included in the Munster squad for the game against Australia the following Tuesday at Thomond Park Stadium.
