The star caused an uproar after replying to a question on what's "God's plan for gay people?" with "HELL.. Unless they repent of their sins and turn to God",
The dynamic fullback is currently nursing a hamstring injury – which he sustained during the win over the Brumbies in Round Seven – will only return to the field in May.
However, in his absence and in the midst of a media uproar, the Waratahs side managed to stay focused and record a 50-29 win over the Sunwolves last weekend. The New South Wales-based side will hope to continue to reap the wins as their prepare for the Australiana derby against the Reds.
"Our focus now is on ensuring we get to this Reds game," Waratahs assistant coach Chris Malone said.
"It’s a great opportunity for us after beating three Australian conference rivals in the last few weeks. It’s a really big game for us and really exciting at the SCG on Saturday night.
"He’s obviously had the meeting with the CEO of NSW and Rugby Australia, I wouldn’t have a clue what’s transpired there … for us it’s focusing on the Reds game.
"He’s a genius footballer and he’s a great guy. I have no doubt that we want to see him back on the park in a couple of weeks time when he gets back from injury.
"We didn’t have Israel on the weekend. We played a big game that we needed to win away and now we get the chance to come home and play the Reds at the Sydney Cricket Ground. It’s going to be a huge night and that has to be our concentration,"
