Jaguares to lean on Los Pumas again
Jaguares coach Raúl Perez unveiled a 44-man training squad that shows little change from the side that finished 13th in their debut season.
The most significant departures are Lucas González Amorosino (who was released with revealing his new team), Felipe Arregui (moved to Edinburgh), Joaquín Paz (to Calvisano) and Segundo Tuculet (to Los Tilos).
They will again lean heavily on established internationals such as Ramiro Herrera, Agustín Creevy (both Los Pumas and Jaguares captain), Facundo Isa, Martín Landajo, Nicolás Sánchez, Juan Martín Hernández, Matías Moroni and Santiago Cordero.
The Argentine franchise will again play in the Africa Two conference – alongside the Kings, Sharks and Lions.
Fernando Rizzi, one of the members of the Jaguares board, said they will be looking to "grow" as a franchise.
"For this reason and taking into account the strategic importance of the decisions we have made, the board has 
made available to the staff and players all the tools available to tackle the best players in the toughest professional competition," Rizzi said.
Perez said they will be looking to use the "experience" gained in their debut year.
"We are coming back to compete in the most important tournament in the world and the most demanding, and with a season under our belt it is very different," the coach said.
"The expectation we have set is to go game by game. I remember when we played against the Kings in Port Elizabeth, our indiscipline cost us. And I think that's the challenge.
"Then we will on preparing for the second game, which is against the Stormers in Cape Town, and build on what we do well in the opener and have the reflexes to change what we don't do so well."
