Jaguares pay dear price

INJURY UPDATE: The Jaguares limped back home from their heavy defeat to the Stormers last Friday with a number of injuries.

After two impressive home wins over the Bulls (27-12) and Blues (23-19), the Argentinean franchise lost both their matches on their South Africa tour – to the Lions (39-47 at Ellis Park) and the Stormers (8-35 at Newlands).

But the biggest cost was in the casualty ward.

Scrumhalf Martín Landajo suffered a fracture of the jaw against Stormers and requires surgery.

It is estimated that he will be able to return in four to six weeks.

Wing Bautista Delguy also requires surgical intervention to heal the ruptured ankle ligament he suffered at Newlands.

His estimated time of return will only be confirmed once he has had his surgery.

Lock Tomás Lavanini suffered a shoulder injury, which requires scans.
