"I have gone for 15 forwards and 12 backs. My selection was based on who is fit and available, and I have rewarded players who have taken opportunities they've been given.

"We are looking forward to this tour. Tours always strengthen team spirit and this win under our belt will give us confidence going into the next four weeks. It’s time for us to stand-up and hopefully we make everyone who loves the black and white proud," said Du Preez.

The following players were not considered for selection at this stage, due to injury: Coenraad Oosthuizen, Daniel du Preez, Jeremy Ward, Michael Claassens and Philip van der Walt.

The Sharks kicked off their season with a 19-26 loss to the Lions in Johannesburg.

In Round Three, Du Preez's side played out a 24-all draw with the Waratahs before they got their first win of the season in Round Four with a 50-22 victory over an injury-plagued Sunwolves outfit.
