VIDEO: Brumbies believe after Reds rout

McKellar promised a new attacking brand of rugby at the Brumbies this season, encouraging all his players, including forwards, to seek out defensive gaps.

There's been mixed success, with three wins and three losses, but that has not discouraged McKellar, a former journeyman forward who took over the Brumbies job from World Cup-winning Wallaby great Stephen Markham.

He said the players were also believers, as shown when they went down 0-15 against the Reds then ran in six unanswered tries to notch an emphatic victory.

"You've got to believe in what you're doing and staying confident," he said.

"I'll give it to the players, at no stage over the last few weeks have they come and said 'it's not working'.

"They all believe in the changes we're trying to make, we've just got to stick at it. I was confident it would come."
