VIDEO: Bulls have a new 'headache'

Ismaiel was first diagnosed with a "neck spasm", after the 14-31 loss to the Sharks in Polokwane in the first pre-season outing.

However, he started to develop concussion symptoms late last week and did not make the trip to Wellington for the encounter with the Stormers this past weekend.

Bulls team doctor Herman Rossouw confirmed that he has still not recovered fully and will not feature against the Jaguares this week.

Rossouw said there are no new major injuries, following the encounter with the Stormers.

"[Wing] Duncan Matthews took a knock to his quadriceps," Rossouw said, adding: ""He suffered a contusion.

"However, he is expected to return to the training field by Wednesday."

Bulls coach John Mitchell was happy that his team is growing and that they are beginning to embrace the new expansive approach.

"The mindset was good," Mitchell said of the encounter with the Stormers.

"I thought we left a bit out there, but we showed good attitude.

"Our structures are starting to show, and our setpiece went really well as well.
