The Lions have won two of their last three URC matches. However, they have won just two of their last five Championship fixtures played at Ellis Park.

Their only previous defeat to a Welsh region was 13-36 to Scarlets in Llanelli in October 2021.

The Dragons have won just one game so far in the URC, beating Ospreys 20-5 at Rodney Parade in Round Five.
