England gave France a run for their money but the French were the better team on the day and took the game 19-12.

The All Blacks claimed the last semifinal place -with a 33-10 win over Argentina in Auckland.

Morgan Parra three penalties was the difference between France and Wales; the French took the match 9-8.

The remaining semifinal spot was filled by New Zealand, who overcame a tough encounter against Australia and won the game 20-6.

Australia and Wales put up a cracker of a match in Auckland- with Australia taking the Bronze medal match 21-18.
