De la Fuente out of Pumas squad
De la Fuente failed a fitness test and his place in the squad has been taken by Gabriel Ascarate.
Argentina are already without lock Tomas Lavanini and wing Manuel Montero.
Lavanini has an anterior cruciate ligament injury and he is expected to have surgery in three to four weeks time. It is then estimated that he will be out of action for up to six months.
Montero suffered a grade one tear in his adductor muscle in his thigh and is expected to be out for a lengthy period as well.
Meanwhile, Argentina head coach Daniel Hourcade said they will do the best they can to try and upset world champions New Zealand on the own home turf next weekend.
"New Zealand is the best team in the world and we will prepare the best way we can," said Hourcade. "We will prepare a strategy to try to win, as we have always done."
Hourcade added: "We want to correct the things that were not done well [against South Africa]. This is the hardest part of the tournament for us. We are playing against the best team in the world that just beat Australia twice, but that does not intimidate us, on the contrary it motivates us."
