Loffreda makes two enforced changes

Unavailability and injury has forced Argentina coach Marcelo Loffreda to make two changes to his 22-man squad ahead of Ireland’s two-Test tour.

Northampton Saints hooker Matias Cortese and Hindu full-back Horacio Agulla have been drafted in for prop Gaston De Robertis, who has French championship commitments with Biarritz, and San Isidro’s Federico Serra, who is still recovering from eye surgery.

The first Test will take place on May 26 at Santa Fe’s Brigadier Estanislao Lopez stadium.

Argentina and Ireland, who face each other in a World Cup Pool D game in Paris on September 30, will then reconvene in Buenos Aries for the second Test on June 2.

Argentina squad (revised): Miguel Avramovic (Worcester Warriors), Marcos Ayerza (Leicester Tigers), Pablo Bouza (Leeds), Felipe Contepomi (Leinster), Matias Cortese (Northampton Saints), Tomas De Vedia (Saracens), Martin Durand (Montpellier), Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe (Sale Sharks), Juan de la Cruz Fernandez Miranda, Horacio Agulla (both Hindu), Genaro Fessia (Cordoba Athletic), Pablo Gambarini, Esteban Lozada, James Stuart (all CASI), Santiago Gonzalez Bonorino (Capitolina), Juan Miguel Leguizamon (London Irish), Francisco Leonelli (Glasgow Warriors), Lucio Lopez Fleming (Edinburgh Gunners), Hernan Senillosa (Hindu), Bernardo Stortoni (Bristol), Nicolas Vergallo (Jockey Club Rosario), Alberto Vernet Basualdo (Alumni).
