ARU and Patston resolve issues
The Australian Rugby Union and Di Patston have resolved a discrimination claim brought forward by the former Wallabies business manager.
Patston was at the heart of the highly-publicised Kurtley Beale saga, in 2014, in which the playmaker back sent discriminatory texts to fellow players about the Wallaby staff member.
Patston later resigned from her position due to stress and Beale was fined AU$45,000, following a code of conduct hearing.
In February, Patston then laid a discrimination claim against the ARU even after receiving a sizeable financial settlement when they parted ways.
However, the ARU and Patston have today [Tuesday] reached mutual agreement in relation to the matter in the interests of all parties.
"The ARU recognises the distress caused to Di Patston and her family and friends in relation to the events of last year and sincerely regrets that this occurred," an ARU statement read.
"The ARU wishes her well in her future and thanks her for her diligent service at the ARU from August 2013 to October 2014 as Wallaby business manager.
"The matter is now resolved and neither the ARU nor Ms Patston will be making any further comment about the matter."
