Single Saffa makes Baabaas cut

The Springboks flank, who made his Test debut in 2016, has been plying his trade in Japan for Sanix and is planning to return to the Blue Bulls at the end of the 2017 season.

The Barbarians will be captained by Australian discard Quade Cooper for their clash against the Wallabies in Sydney on October 28.

Aside from Potgieter and Cooper, other big names include the experienced Wallaby flank Matt Hodgson, while the backline boasts with the likes of Reds star Eto Nabulu, Samoan Tim Nanai-Williams and New Zealand scrumhalf Augustine Pulu.

For Australian tour, the Barbarians will be mentored by Alan Jones for their two matches against the Classic Wallabies in Lismore on October 24 and Australia in Sydney October 2).

While for the second tour, the invitational side will be coached by Robbie Dean when they face New Zealand at Twickenham before taking on Tonga at Thomond Park in Limerick on November 10.
