Rugby Australia congratulated Gardner on achieving this milestone.

Gardner’s Test refereeing debut came in 2011, and he has since refereed matches in the Six Nations, The Rugby Championship and Rugby World Cup, amongst other major international assignments.

In 2023, Gardner became the first Australian to officiate 100 Super Rugby games.

Rugby Australia’s Match Official Performance Manager Brendan McKibbin said: “Angus has been one of Australia’s finest match officials on the Test scene since he officiated his first Test back in 2011.

“This past weekend was the culmination of all the hard work and dedication that Angus has shown over the years.
