She scored a try and made five tackles and two line breaks.

The Brumbies forward is set for another impressive display as Wallaroos will be out to rectify their mistakes when they meet Wales in a rematch this Saturday at the Cape Town Stadium.

“We get an opportunity to play them again,” Tuinakauvadra said, adding: “It is a quick turnaround in a new country, no home ground advantage

The 21-year-old has slowly built throughout the season after a strong year for the Brumbies as the young backrower fills the void left by the injured Piper Duck.

“Definitely a lot more confidence in myself that I can play good footy for 80 minutes and really back myself with how we want to play for the duration of the match,” she told reporters.

“The try was just a little reward but being able to consistently push myself for the whole game is something that I really wanted to work towards and to be able to walk off the field feeling that I put myself on the line for my team is something that I was really proud of.”

Tuinakauvadra will carry a heavier load after fellow back row Leilani Nathan was ruled out for the rest of the competition due to a knee injury.

When asked about arriving in Cape Town, she said: “A pretty cool place to drive into. Usually, a lot of the girls passed out on the bus but everyone was awake.

“Table Mountain was pretty cool to see with the sunset.”
