Stoop hosts Test clash
Harlequins' home ground the Stoop will play host to an international Test match for the first time between Fiji and Canada on September 6.
The fixture will form part of both teams' preparations for the World Cup and it will be Fiji's first appearance on English soil since 2012.
Both Fiji, ranked 11th in the world, and Canada, ranked 20th, have featured in every World Cup since the inaugural tournament in 1987.
This Test match will be all the more significant to English supporters as the Fijians will compete against England in Pool A during the opening fixture of the World Cup.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Fijian head coach John McKee commented: "This match is very important in our build up to the World Cup and the opening match against England. It provides a great opportunity for our UK supporters to see the flying Fijians in action in full Test match mode."
"The flying Fijian squad will have been together since July 1 and will have a Pacific Nations Cup campaign and re-conditioning Camp in Fiji behind them. This match will put the final touches on our preparation before entering our World Cup team base."
Former Harlequins captain Peter Winterbottom added: "It's a reflection on Harlequins as a Club and its supporters that such an attractive fixture as this one will be coming to the Stoop in September. It is a great opportunity for all supporters to get a glimpse of two very exciting teams ahead of the World Cup."
