Edinburgh's hat-trick hero gets Scotland call-up
SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT: Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend has added three new faces to his squad ahead of this Saturday’s Six Nations match against Wales.
Townsend has called up Matt Currie, Nathan McBeth and Ben Muncaster.
Currie is recalled to the Scotland squad fresh from scoring a hat-trick against Munster on Friday after returning from the concussion he sustained against Zebre.
He will be joined by fellow Edinburgh player Ben Muncaster who also started in their memorable win in Cork.
Glasgow Warriors prop Nathan McBeth, who scored a try at the end of their tight loss to Ospreys, has also joined the squad.
Luke Crosbie and Jack Mann have been ruled out due to injury.
Crosbie was replaced early on in the Edinburgh game on Friday night and has returned to his club to undergo further assessment. Mann picked up a head injury on Friday night and is undergoing World Rugby’s concussion protocols.
Ali Price and Ross McCann have returned to Edinburgh.
